The Omaha Royals 13U Baseball team is the 2016 Youth Baseball Nationals Champions!!! The team traveled to the Kentucky Nationals Week 3 event and competed with some of the best from around the country in the week long, memory-filled baseball event. The event was held in Elizabethtown, KY (south of Louisville - home of Louisville Slugger) in one of the most amazing youth sports complexes in the county. Following a full round of pool play games, the Royals competed and won the 13U division single elimination national competition defeating the Bartlett Blast from Bartlett, IL 3-1. Aiden Young and TJ Urban knocked in the go ahead and insurance runs in the top of the 7th inning. Nate Schlader ended the game with an over the shoulder catch in foul territory. Kutty George was also named to the Nationals All-Star team. 

The team went 8-1 over the course of the week beating teams from Grand Haven (MI), Kalamazoo (MI), Knoxville (TN), Bartlett (MI), Franklin (TN), Spring (TX), and Bolingbrook (IL). The only loss came in a nail biter against the Colts from Hillard (IL). Thanks to Coach Nathan Eichelberger, Wyndle Young, and the entire Royals family traveling with and supporting the boys.

It's good to be a ROYAL!!! Great Job!!!
